The film has a smooth surface that does not allow the ink to penetrate. When choosing ink we should consider the following factors.
- Heat distortion point and heat resistance. If you choose drying ink, you need to consider whether the maximum drying temperature of the ink is appropriate to the temperature of the plastic.
- Solvent resistance, solubility solvent for the plastic film can help the adhesion of ink and plastic film, but if the effect is strong, it is possible to reduce the mechanical properties of the film.
- Plasticizer and other additives. Some plastic film containing a certain amount of plasticizer and other additives, these materials often can migrate to the surface of the plastic film and eventually to soften ink, failure bonding.
- Other factors such as rigidity, brittleness, dimension stability and expansion coefficient of plastic film affect the durability of ink bond.
