BOPP Thermal Laminating Film is primarily composed of BOPP + EVA layers. We use an extrusion coating process to combine these two layers. The final film features BOPP film properties on one side and a heat-sensitive surface for dry lamination on the other.
This product is available in two classifications: glossy/shine/transparent and matte/opaque, with thickness ranging from 14 micron to 32 micron. Available widths range from 180mm to 1880mm, with lengths from 150m (1 inch core, 25mm) to 4000m (3 inch core, 76mm).
BOPP Thermal Laminating Film is used for various applications including:
- Textbook covers
- Brochures
- Leaflets
- Sweet boxes
- Cosmetics packaging
- Shopping bags
- Diaries
A laminating machine (hot laminator) is required to use BOPP Thermal Laminating Film by melting the EVA layer onto substrates such as paper. During the process, the film passes over a heated roller and, under appropriate pressure, adheres to the paper.
This process is user-friendly and can be performed in home settings for small applications. It is also known as heat lamination, dry lamination, or hot lamination.
- Adjust roller pressure and temperature according to different paper types and ink
- Conduct small trial volumes before starting mass lamination when using film for the first time or changing sizes
- Normal process temperature: 90°C-105°C (203°F - 221°F)
- Ensure ink is completely dry before laminating
- Store materials in low temperature, dry environments
Factors affecting lamination quality:
- Using metal ink
- Ink containing excessive wax, dried oil, adhesive, or silicon additives
- Excessively thick ink application
- Insufficiently dried ink
- Overly humid paper sheets
- Excessive powder on surface
