Company News About Share printing resources with competitors Fairfax closes two printing houses
According to an agreement with rival News Corp to share print resources in July this year, Australian media giant Fairfax has closed two printing plants in Queensland and NSW, and auctions are underway.
One of the printing plants is located in Ormiston, 25 km from Brisbane's central business district, covering an area of 5.2 hectares with a building area of 5,160 square meters. Fairfax says the site is ideal for building retail, commercial, retirement facilities, and homes, and it is difficult to find such a large area in this area.
Another printing plant in Beresfield, NSW covers an area of 9,747 square meters and is valued at more than $4 million, based on local market prices.
